NTegrity Launch the first EMV/Contactless Payment/ITSO travel multifunctional Prepaid debit card

Today, NTegrity UK Ltd launches their new multifunctional card platform at London’s Prepaid ’08 conference. The card, available for use in Q1 2009 will not only carry the now traditional EMV Chip & Pin payment method, but after successful trials in London, the new contactless payment platform currently being rolled out across the UK. Programmed on the card with this powerful payment combination is the national contactless ticketing scheme ITSO. Cementing the components together and giving the cardholder functional usage is the addition of their registered mobile phone. Via a small program, the mobile phone allows them access to balances and online banking features. Completing the mobile theme is a fully interactive customer selective loyalty and gifting program that supports real-time fast and accurate take-up return reporting to the retailer.

The card is promoted business to business and whilst it may be branded to reflect a marketable identity it essentially utilises the same database system making use of the raft of available components with further information delivered from subscribers xml data feeds.

This powerful combination allows cards to be issued as event/sport/travel season ticket/cards, concessionary travel and benefit cards and as a national tourism card which actively connects geographically the tourist with the tourism world. A card can be branded and issued, to benefit smaller charities with the cardholder selecting whether to donate monthly or as an additional percentage of each purchase or as a one off donation.

The combination of card and mobile become the cornerstone for third party solutions and an example being the empowerment of cashless systems in stadiums, arenas, racecourses and festivals. Getting to and into the event is a simple affair with card having embedded on it, both a secure contactless public transport ticket and event access provision. The loyalty program keeps open an ongoing dialogue with cardholder and the event organisation, providing a push/pull of useful usable information.
